SACS, the Swedish Association of Civil Security
was founded in 2006. The Association is open to
companies in Sweden with products, services and systems
in the area of Civil Security.
SACS define civil security as the ability of society
to handle antagonistic or non-antagonistic threats with
a significant impact on the functioning of society.

The purpose of the Association is to promote the
common interest of the Civil Security Industry and
to work for improving the security and the ability
to safeguard us from to threats in our modern society
through new technology.

SACS represents a unique collection of companies
with the offerings and knowledge that can provide
and prepare society for threats of today and tomorrow.
The members of SACS cover a large field of
capabilities such as; Access Control, Biometrics,
CBRN expertise, Command and Control, Communication,
Detection and Transportation.

SACS is aiming to become the established Voice
of the Industry towards the Swedish Government and Authorities in the area of Civil Security. SACS will
communicate the view of the Industry when it comes
to public inquiries and media requests.
SACS works to increase the funding for governmental
R&D in the area of Civil Security.

SACS strive to make the collective capabilities of the
member companies known and recognized on the Swedish
as well as international market.

SACS will be the preferred partner for Swedish public
authorities on civil security issues and a meeting place
for the member companies. Furthermore it is a forum
for increasing the network, strengthen the competitiveness
and creating additional business opportunities.
